JCI Tar Valley Oulu<\/h2><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the 19th century, tar (Finnish \u201cTerva\u201d) was Oulu\u00b4s main export product and \u201cTervaporvarit\u201d were Oulu\u00b4s leading merchant families, who traded tar abroad. Thereby, we wanted the name of our youth chamber of commerce to stand out from the traditional ones in line with the spirit, and the history of Oulu inspired it. The tar merchants were the international net workers and traders of their time selling tar in the 19th century, so they are perfectly suited as a role model for the new chamber. That`s how the name became JCI Tar Valley Oulu. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Today we are an energetic and innovative development and leadership training organization for active young adults under 40. The core task of our chamber is to develop the competence, networking, and success of its members in working life. Therefore, members are encouraged to participate in training activities, and the chamber organizes engaging training in a member-oriented manner and utilizing the members working life skills. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

JCI Tar Valley Oulu is an educational and networking organization of young leaders or entrepreneurs networking in Oulu industrial region in Northern Finland. JCI Tar Valley Oulu is a part of National organization JCI Finland which is a member of Junior Chamber International. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our activities include project work, organizing various events, networking, and training. Our members interests focus heavily on self-development and networking.
